Sixth plate daguerreotype. Pretty young woman in fancy dress and bonnet, wearing lots of gold jewelry. The image was taken by William F. Hunter, likely 1854–1856, when he had a studio at 252 Broadway, N.Y. Fine condition except for a few tiny mat rubs to the perimeter. Note: The faint markings at the top of the image are in the backdrop and are hardly noticeable when the dag is in hand. The image has been resealed and it is in a push-button case.
