Sixth plate daguerreotype. '49-er with wide-brimmed hat and 2-pocket work shirt.
This image of a bearded gold miner has old, but not likely original, seals. Could be a tobacco pouch in his shirt pocket? No wipe marks. Most if not all of the white specks are on the inside of the glass. In full case with a split hinge.
