Richard's Antiques and Art has been in business since 1988, buying and selling antiques, folk art, early photography, and ephemera. Since 2018, our interests have shifted to mostly daguerreotypes and other early photography. We have been selling photographic images on eBay under the username richstars since 1998. Purchasing
Listed prices are nonnegotiable. To purchase any image, email at richard@richardsdags.com or call 401-743-1926 to place an order. We'll send an invoice including shipping cost via email. Images that have sold are marked with a SOLD notation. Images that are reserved are marked PENDING until we receive payment. We try to mark changes to sales status of images promptly.
We accept checks and PayPal. If paying via PayPal, you can use Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express. Rhode Island residents must pay 7% sales tax unless they can provide a copy of a sales tax exemption certificate. International customers outside the U.S. must make payment via PayPal.
Shipping
Shipping and handling cost will be included in your invoice. We offer prompt shipping via USPS Priority Mail. Usual cost will be $10. Multiple purchases or oversized images may incur extra charges.
Our Unconditional Guarantee
It's not easy to accurately capture a daguerreotype using a camera or scanner. Our listings lead with a scanned image and subsequent pictures are photographs. A daguerreotype image "in hand" can have many different looks depending on light source and viewing angle. We do our best to be accurate.
If you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason within 3 days after receipt of the item, just ship it back to us in the same condition as received for a full refund, including shipping cost. We do ask that you contact us before returning any items.
