Sixth plate daguerreotype. Pretty young woman, wonderfully painted backdrop; most assuredly by Samuel Broadbent.
She is identified as "Sallie Walling." The image is sharp and clear. There are no wipe marks and the image has old paper seals. The full case has a split hinge. I believe this may be the same woman pictured in my #D2076, also likely by Broadbent.
