Sixth plate daguerreotype. Lovely young woman; case signed "HUTCHINGS 395 B'WAY N.Y." Sharp image, nicely tinted, including gold jewelry. No wipe marks. It is in a Peck Union case that is in good condition, except for one edge chip. The daguerreian is likely Anthony Bleecker Hutchings, who operated at the 395 Broadway studio in the mid-1850s.
